Car
From anywhere in South Shore, get onto Route 3 North. Follow Route 3 until it merges with I-93 North. Continue on I-93 North for about 15 miles. Take exit 28 toward Sullivan Square/Charlestown. Merge onto Washington Street and follow signs for Charlestown. After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto Monument Square. The Bunker Hill Monument will be ahead on your right. There is limited street parking available, and some public parking lots in the vicinity may charge a fee.

Public Transportation - MBTA Commuter Rail
If you are near a commuter rail station, take the MBTA Commuter Rail towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, exit and walk to the Haymarket subway station (about a 10-minute walk). From Haymarket, board the Orange Line train towards Oak Grove. Get off at the Community College station. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to Monument Square where the Bunker Hill Monument is located. Make sure to check the MBTA schedule for train times and fares.

Locate a nearby bus stop and take the MBTA bus route 92 or 93 towards Alewife Station. Transfer at Alewife to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree. Get off at the Haymarket station. From Haymarket, take the Orange Line towards Oak Grove and get off at Community College station. Walk approximately 15 minutes to Monument Square. Bus fare is required, and you can purchase a CharlieCard or pay cash on the bus.
