Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-91 N from your location in Western Massachusetts. Follow I-91 N for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 6 for I-291 E toward Springfield. Merge onto I-291 E and continue for about 2 miles. Take the exit toward Main St/US-5 S. Continue on Main St, and then turn left onto State St. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Columbus Ave, and you will find the Connecticut River Walk and Bikeway at the end of the road, near the river. There is free parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the PVTA (Pioneer Valley Transit Authority) bus service. Look for Route 1 or Route 22, which connect various parts of Western Massachusetts to Springfield. Get off at the Main St and State St stop in Springfield. From there, walk south on State St towards Columbus Ave (about a 15-minute walk). Once you reach Columbus Ave, the Connecticut River Walk and Bikeway will be located at the end of the street near the river. The bus fare is approximately $1.50.
