Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main square of Campeche (Plaza de la Independencia), head southeast on Calle 10 toward Calle 11. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Turn right onto Avenida 16 de Septiembre and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs directing you to the museum. The Campeche Archaeological Museum, Fort San Miguel will be on your left, located at Carr. Escénica, Zona Centro.

    Starting from the Parque Principal (Main Park), rent a bicycle from one of the nearby rental shops. Head east on Calle 10 until you reach Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Turn left and continue along the avenue for approximately 1 kilometer. Follow the bike lane until you reach the museum, which will be on your left at Carr. Escénica, Zona Centro. Make sure to park your bike at the designated bike racks.

  • Public Transportation

    From the Plaza de la Independencia, take bus line 1 (which has a sign indicating 'Museo') that departs from a nearby bus stop. The bus will take you directly to the vicinity of the Campeche Archaeological Museum. Get off at the stop closest to Carr. Escénica. Walk approximately 200 meters southeast, and you will see the museum on your left.
