Cenote El Aerolito: A Natural Oasis in Quintana Roo

Getting There

• Bicycle

  If you're at the main square (Plaza Central) in Cozumel, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops nearby. Head south on Avenida 5 before turning right onto Calle 2. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carr. Costera Sur. Turn left (south) onto Carr. Costera Sur and continue cycling. After about 15-20 minutes, look for signs indicating Cenote El Aerolito, which will be on your left just a couple hundred feet off the highway. There is a small entrance to the cenote where you can park your bike.

• Scooter

  For those who prefer a quicker option, consider renting a scooter. From the main square in Cozumel, head south on Avenida 5 and take a right onto Calle 2. Follow the road until you reach Carr. Costera Sur. Turn left onto Carr. Costera Sur and drive for approximately 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs for Cenote El Aerolito, located on your left side, just off the highway. The entrance is easily accessible for scooters.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to navigate on your own, hail a taxi from your location in Cozumel. Provide the driver with the destination: 'Cenote El Aerolito, Carr. Costera Sur'. The ride should take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the taxi will drop you off at the entrance of the cenote, which is well-marked.

• Walking (if nearby)

  If you happen to be staying at a hotel or location near Carr. Costera Sur, you can walk to Cenote El Aerolito. Head towards Carr. Costera Sur and walk south along the road. It is a scenic walk, and you will reach the cenote in about 30-45 minutes, depending on your starting point. Look for signs pointing to the entrance, which is a short distance off the main road.
