If you are in the downtown area of San Miguel de Cozumel, head towards Av. Rafael E. Melgar. This avenue runs parallel to the coast and is easy to find. Once you reach Av. Rafael E. Melgar, turn right and walk along the avenue. Keep walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops, restaurants, and beautiful views of the ocean on your left. Look for a large monument on your right side, and that is the Monumento Al Mestizaje, located at Av. Rafael E. Melgar 601.

Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Miguel de Cozumel. Once you have your bike, start by heading towards the main road, Av. Rafael E. Melgar. Cycle along this road heading south for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will enjoy the coastal views as you ride. The Monumento Al Mestizaje will be on your right side, and you should see the large structure as you approach.

Public Transportation (Collectivo)
You can take a collectivo (shared taxi) from the downtown area. Look for a collectivo van that is heading towards the south side of the island. Inform the driver that you want to go to Av. Rafael E. Melgar. The fare is usually very affordable. The driver will drop you off near the intersection of Av. Rafael E. Melgar and the main road. From there, walk a short distance (about 100 meters) along Av. Rafael E. Melgar, and you will see the Monumento Al Mestizaje on your right.
