Villa Maya: A Glamping Retreat in Nature's Embrace

Getting There

• Public Transportation - Taxi

  From any location in San Miguel de Cozumel, you can easily hail a taxi to Villa Maya, Glamping - Natural Reserve. Just inform the driver that you want to go to 'Camino a Villa Maya Km 2, San Gervasio'. The journey should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your ride.

• Public Transportation - Colectivo

  You can take a colectivo (shared van) from the main plaza or any major intersection in San Miguel. Look for a colectivo heading towards San Gervasio. Once aboard, let the driver know you are heading to 'Villa Maya, Glamping'. The colectivo will drop you off at the entrance of the reserve, which is about a 10-minute walk from the main road. The total journey may take around 30 minutes, including waiting time.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in San Miguel de Cozumel. Start by heading towards the eastern part of the island, following the main road towards San Gervasio. After about 6 km, look for the signs directing you to 'Camino a Villa Maya'. This scenic ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Cozumel along the way.

• Walking

  For those who are in good shape and enjoy walking, you can start from the central plaza in San Miguel de Cozumel. Head northeast along Avenida 30 and then turn left onto Avenida 65, which leads you towards San Gervasio. Continue walking for about 4 km until you reach the entrance of Villa Maya on 'Camino a Villa Maya Km 2'. This walk will take approximately 1 hour and is best done in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat.
