Getting There

Ferry
To reach Xcaret Park from Cozumel, start by heading to the ferry terminal in San Miguel de Cozumel. Look for the 'Ultramar' ferry service signs that will guide you to the ticket counter. Purchase a ticket to Playa del Carmen, which is located on the mainland. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Playa del Carmen, you will disembark and find yourself near the coastal promenade. From here, you can either take a taxi directly to Xcaret Park or walk to the main avenue (Avenida 5) and catch a bus or colectivo (shared van) heading south towards Xcaret Park. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination.

Taxi
After arriving at Playa del Carmen via the ferry, locate the taxi stand just outside the ferry terminal. Taxis are readily available, and you can ask for one to take you directly to Xcaret Park. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey, as taxis in Mexico do not always have meters.

Bus/Colectivo
Once you arrive at Playa del Carmen after taking the ferry, walk to Avenida 5, which is the main avenue running parallel to the beach. Look for buses or colectivos (shared vans) that are headed towards Xcaret Park. These vehicles usually have signage indicating their route. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Be sure to tell the driver you are going to Xcaret Park, and they will drop you off at the entrance.
