Getting There

• Taxi

  If you are in Cozumel, the easiest way to reach Xel-Há Park is to take a taxi. You can find taxis at various locations, including the ferry terminal or your hotel. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Xel-Há Park, located at Carretera Chetumal Puerto Juárez Km 240, locales 1 & 2, módulo B. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.

• Colectivo

  Another option is to take a colectivo (shared van). Head to the main plaza in Cozumel, where you can find the colectivos heading to Playa del Carmen. Look for a colectivo that goes to Xel-Há or requests the driver to drop you off at the park. The journey may take around 30-45 minutes. Make sure to have small bills, as they usually do not provide change.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Xel-Há Park. You can rent a bike from local shops around the main area of Cozumel. Head south on Avenida 5, then turn left onto Carretera Chetumal Puerto Juárez. Continue riding straight for about 20 km. It is advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the heat, and make sure to bring water and sunscreen.

• Tour Shuttle

  Many hotels and tour operators in Cozumel offer shuttle services to Xel-Há Park. Check with your hotel’s concierge or tour desk to see if they have scheduled shuttles.
