Collectivo
From anywhere in Playa del Carmen, head to the main avenue (Avenida 5). Look for a Collectivo van heading towards Tulum. The Collectivos are usually parked near the ADO bus station or along Avenida 5, where you can easily spot them. The fare is typically around 50-70 pesos, and it will take about 30-45 minutes to reach Akumal. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at Akumal.

Go to the ADO bus terminal located on Avenida 20. Purchase a ticket to Akumal or Tulum, which costs around 70-100 pesos. The bus will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to reach Akumal. When you arrive, you can walk or take a taxi to your desired location within Akumal.

If you prefer a direct ride, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Playa del Carmen. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The price may range from 600 to 800 pesos, and the trip will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to take you to Akumal Trail.
