    From Playa del Carmen, head to the main highway (Carretera Federal 307) where you can find the collectivo stand. Look for a white van with 'Tulum' written on it. Once you board, inform the driver that you are going to Akumal. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, which is located at Camino a Uxuxubi S/N Predio Santa Pilar Lote 16. The sanctuary is a short walk from where the collectivo stops.

    You can easily find a taxi in Playa del Carmen. Simply tell the driver you wish to go to Akumal Monkey Sanctuary located at Camino a Uxuxubi S/N Predio Santa Pilar Lote 16.
