From the center of Puerto Escondido, head to the main road (Avenida Oaxaca). Look for a collective taxi (colectivo) which is a shared van. You can find them near the ADO bus station or along the main road. Ask the driver for 'Punta Colorada' or 'San Pedro Mixtepec'. The fare is usually very affordable and the journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Get off once the driver drops you off at the nearest point to Playa Punta Colorada.

Motorbike Taxi (Mototaxi)
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a motorbike taxi (mototaxi) from the main beach area or your accommodation in Puerto Escondido. Simply hail a mototaxi and tell the driver you want to go to Playa Punta Colorada. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Agree on the fare before starting your journey.
