Start your journey at the Puerto Vallarta Malecon, the seaside promenade. From there, head towards the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a well-known landmark in the city. Once you reach the church, walk up Calle Libertad until you reach the intersection with Calle Abasolo. Take a left onto Calle Abasolo and continue walking uphill. The road will lead you through the residential area of Cerro. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for the Hill of the Cross Viewpoint (Cerro de la Cruz). Follow the path leading up to the viewpoint, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Puerto Vallarta.

From the Malecon, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Mexico, where you can catch a bus marked 'Centro' or 'Cerro'. Once you get off, follow the signs to the trailhead for the viewpoint, which is a short uphill walk from the bus stop.
