If you are driving from Playa del Carmen, head south on Carretera Federal 307. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Tulum. From Tulum, continue south on the same highway for about 25 kilometers until you see the signs for Chen Rio. Turn left onto the road that leads to the beach area. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you arrive at Chen Rio, which will be on your left. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a small fee.

To reach Chen Rio using public transportation, locate the ADO bus terminal in Playa del Carmen. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Tulum.
