If you're driving from Playa del Carmen, take the Carretera 307 highway south towards Tulum. After approximately 60 km, take the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. Once you arrive in Cozumel, follow the signs to San Miguel and then take the Carretera a Punta Sur. Continue driving until you see the signs for Playa El Cielo, which is located on the east side of the island. There is a parking area available, but be prepared to pay a small fee for parking.
