From any location in Riviera Maya, take Highway 307 (Carretera Federal 307) heading south towards Playa del Carmen. Continue on this highway until you reach the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen (approximately 60 km). Follow signs for the ferry to Cozumel. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes and costs around 200 MXN (one way). Once you arrive in Cozumel, drive to the main road and head towards the south of the island. Follow signs for El Cielo, which is located near the southern end of the island. You will find the sandbar around 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. Parking is available at the beach access points.
