Car
From any location in Riviera Maya, take Highway 307 (Carretera Federal 307) heading south towards Playa del Carmen. Continue on this highway until you reach the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen (approximately 60 km). Follow signs for the ferry to Cozumel. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes and costs around 200 MXN (one way). Once you arrive in Cozumel, drive to the main road and head towards the south of the island. Follow signs for El Cielo, which is located near the southern end of the island. You will find the sandbar around 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. Parking is available at the beach access points.

Public Transportation
From your accommodation in Riviera Maya, you can take a bus to Playa del Carmen. Buses run frequently and cost approximately 50-80 MXN. Once in Playa del Carmen, head to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Cozumel (about 200 MXN one way). After arriving in Cozumel, you can take a taxi or rent a scooter to reach El Cielo, located on the southern part of the island. Taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay around 250-400 MXN depending on your exact drop-off point. If you choose to rent a scooter, rentals typically cost around 500-700 MXN for a day.
