Getting There

  • Ferry and Taxi

    If you are starting from Playa del Carmen, take a ferry to Cozumel. The ferry terminal is located at 1a Avenida, where you can buy your tickets. Once you arrive in Cozumel, head to the taxi stand outside the ferry terminal. Tell the taxi driver you want to go to Punta Sur. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to the entrance of El Cielo.

  • Bicycle

    If you are staying near the Cozumel downtown area, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many local shops. Head south on Avenida 5 Sur until you reach the main road, then take a left onto Carretera Costera Sur. Follow this road for about 12 km (7.5 miles) until you reach the entrance to Punta Sur. El Cielo is located inside Punta Sur, so follow the signs once you enter.

  • Walking and Public Transport

    For those staying in Cozumel town, you can walk to the main bus station and take a local bus heading to Punta Sur. The buses run regularly and will drop you off near the entrance of Punta Sur. From there, you will need to walk about 10 minutes to reach El Cielo. Make sure to check the bus schedule as the last buses may leave in the late afternoon.
