    If you are driving from the center of Collinsville, IL, head east on E Main St toward S Center St. Continue on IL-157 N for approximately 2 miles. Take the exit onto I-55 S/I-70 E toward Memphis. Continue on I-55 S for around 8 miles. Take exit 40B for IL-3 N toward East St Louis. Continue on IL-3 N for about 5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, which will be on your right. There is a parking fee of $10 for cars.

    To reach Cahokia Mounds via public transportation, start at the Collinsville MetroLink station. Take the MetroLink train towards the Gateway Arch and transfer at the 5th & Missouri stop. From there, you can catch MetroBus Route 26 (North Broadway) to the East St. Louis area.
