Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Southeastern Mexico, head towards the nearest major city with access to U.S. border crossings, such as Ciudad Juárez or Tijuana. After crossing into the United States, take I-10 East towards El Paso. Continue on I-10 until you reach I-40 East. Follow I-40 to Flagstaff, Arizona, then take US-89 North towards Page, Arizona. Once in Page, follow the signs to Forbidding Canyon Lake. The Rainbow Bridge National Monument is accessible by boat from Lake Powell, so you will need to rent a boat or join a tour from one of the local marinas. Be sure to check for boat rental availability and costs, which can vary widely.

  Traveling by public transportation is more complicated but possible. Begin by taking a bus to a major city like Mexico City or Monterrey. After reaching El Paso, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare to the nearest Greyhound station and then take a Greyhound bus to Flagstaff, Arizona. From Flagstaff, you can catch a local bus to Page, Arizona. However, similar to the car option, you will need to arrange for a boat rental or tour from Page to reach Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
