Getting There

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Tulum. Start by heading towards the main avenue, Avenida Tulum. From there, ride north until you reach the intersection with Carretera Federal 307. Turn left onto Carretera 307. Continue riding for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Cenote Xa'ay Ha on your right, just before reaching the entrance which is marked clearly. The cenote is located just off the main road.

  • Collectivo

    Walk to the collectivo station on Avenida Tulum, where you can find shared vans heading towards Playa del Carmen. Look for a collectivo with a sign for 'Cenote' or 'Cenote Xa'ay Ha.' The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the cenote entrance on Carretera Federal 307. The cenote is a short walk from where the collectivo stops.

  • Walking

    If you enjoy walking, you can start from the center of Tulum. Head northwest on Avenida Tulum until you reach the intersection with Carretera Federal 307. This will be approximately a 5-kilometer walk. Once you reach the highway, turn left and continue until you see the signs for Cenote Xa'ay Ha on your right. The walk may take around 1 to 1.5 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
