Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you are starting from the Tulum town center, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Head southeast on Avenida Tulum until you reach the junction with Carretera Tulum-Cancún. Turn right onto Carretera Tulum-Cancún and continue for about 3 km until you reach the entrance to Playa Mirador on the left, off 'Camino Boca Pila'. Follow the path down to the beach.

  • Walking

    From the Tulum town center, head southeast on Avenida Tulum. Continue until you reach the junction with Carretera Tulum-Cancún. At this junction, you can either continue walking straight to the beach or take a taxi to the entrance of Playa Mirador. If you prefer to walk, it will take approximately 45-60 minutes. Once you reach 'Camino Boca Pila', follow the path down toward the beach until you arrive at Playa Mirador.

  • Taxi

    You can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Tulum. Just inform the driver that you want to go to Playa Mirador. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes from the town center. Once you arrive, the driver will drop you off at the entrance on 'Camino Boca Pila'. From there, it’s a short walk down to the beach.

  • Collective Taxi (Colectivo)

    Collective taxis (colectivos) are a popular and economical way to travel in Tulum. Head to the colectivo stand near the Tulum town center (usually by the main road). Board a colectivo heading towards Playa del Carmen and ask the driver to drop you off at the Playa Mirador stop (Camino Boca Pila). From there, it’s a short walk down to the beach.
