To reach Canal de los Piratas by car, start your journey from Cancun. Take the Highway 307 southbound towards Tulum. Continue driving for approximately 2 hours until you reach the town of Bacalar. Once in Bacalar, follow the signs for Avenida Costera. The attraction is located directly on this avenue at 'laguna de bacalar avenida costera, 77930 Bacalar, Q.R.'. There is no entrance fee for the canal, but be prepared for possible parking fees in the area.

If you prefer public transportation, take an ADO bus from major cities like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum to Bacalar. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 4-5 hours from Cancun. Once you arrive at the Bacalar bus station, you can either walk (approximately 20-30 minutes) to Canal de los Piratas or take a local taxi, which should cost around 50-100 MXN (~3-6 USD). The canal is located on Avenida Costera, so ask the taxi driver to take you there.
