Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, you can reach Xcaret Park by taking Highway 307, which runs along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. From Cancun, head south on Highway 307 for approximately 68 km (about 1 hour). If you're coming from Playa del Carmen, it's just a short 10-minute drive (approximately 6 km). Look for the signs for Xcaret Park as you approach the area. There is a parking area available at the park, and parking fees are typically included in your entrance ticket.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Xcaret Park via public transportation, you can take an ADO bus from various locations in the Yucatan Peninsula, such as Cancun or Tulum. From Cancun, board a bus heading to Playa del Carmen. The buses leave frequently and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Playa del Carmen, you can take a local colectivo (shared van) or taxi directly to Xcaret Park, which is about a 10-minute ride (approximately 6 km). The colectivo fare is usually around 30-50 pesos.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location to Xcaret Park. Taxis in the area are common, and you can either hail one on the street or book one through a ride-hailing app. Be sure to agree on the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running. From Playa del Carmen, a taxi ride to Xcaret Park will cost around 100-150 pesos, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.

• Hotel Shuttle

  Many hotels in the vicinity of Playa del Carmen offer shuttle services to Xcaret Park. Check with your hotel’s concierge or front desk for availability and pricing. This is often a convenient option as it provides direct transport to the park without the need for additional navigation.
