If you are driving from downtown Charlevoix, head north on US-31 N. Continue for about 15 miles. At the intersection with M-22, turn left onto M-22 N. Follow M-22 for approximately 10 miles until you reach Northport. As you enter Northport, take a right onto Lighthouse Point Rd. The Grand Traverse Lighthouse will be on your right at 15500 Lighthouse Point Rd.
Public Transportation
To reach the Grand Traverse Lighthouse via public transportation, you would need to take a bus from Charlevoix to Traverse City first. From Traverse City, take the Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) bus that heads to Northport. Once you arrive in Northport, it is a short taxi ride or a walk of about 2 miles to the lighthouse. Head towards Lighthouse Point Rd, and you will see the lighthouse on your right.
