If you are starting from downtown Lansing, walk to the CATA bus station located at 1240 S. Washington Ave. Board the CATA bus route 1 (Blue Line) towards the Eastwood Towne Center. Ride for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Jolly Rd and Pennsylvania Ave. From there, transfer to bus route 3 (Green Line) towards Frandor. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop at Shepard St and Michigan Ave. Walk north on Shepard St for about 5 minutes. The African World Museum and Resource Center will be on your left at 1136 Shepard St.
