Walking
If you are in downtown Lansing, start at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Washington Square. Head east on Michigan Avenue until you reach the Grand River. At the river, turn left and follow the riverbank until you see signs for the Lansing River Trail. This will take you directly to the trail entrance located at 305 Riverfront Dr. The total walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
Biking
For those with a bike, start at the Michigan State Capitol building. Head south on Allegan Street until you reach the Grand River. Turn left onto the riverfront path and follow it west until you reach the Lansing River Trail entrance at 305 Riverfront Dr. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 10 minutes.
Public Transit
From the Lansing Center, take the CATA bus route #1 towards the East Lansing area. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Riverfront Dr and Michigan Ave. From there, walk south on Riverfront Drive for about 5 minutes to reach the Lansing River Trail entrance at 305 Riverfront Dr. This total journey should take about 30 minutes including wait time.
