Walking
If you are starting from the Main Street area, head northwest on Main Street towards Market Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue. Turn left onto Cadotte Avenue and continue walking. You will pass by beautiful homes and gardens. Keep walking until you reach the entrance to Fort Mackinac on your right. Just past the fort, you will find a path that leads to Anne Bench, which is located near the shoreline. Follow the path, and soon you will see the bench with scenic views of the harbor.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops around Main Street. Head west on Main Street and follow the signs towards Fort Mackinac. As you approach the fort, take the path that leads to the shoreline. This route is scenic and provides a great view of the water. Once you reach the waterfront path, continue riding until you see the sign for Anne Bench. Park your bike nearby and enjoy the view from the bench.
Horse-drawn carriage
Look for horse-drawn carriage tours available near the Main Street area. Ask the driver for a ride towards Fort Mackinac. Once you arrive at the fort, you can either walk or ask the driver to take you closer to the shoreline path leading to Anne Bench. Enjoy the scenic ride and listen to the historical commentary from your driver.
