Walking
From Main Street in Mackinac Island, head northeast towards Fort Mackinac. Walk along the path that leads to Fort Street and continue straight. After passing Fort Mackinac, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the path to the right, which leads towards Rifle Range Road. Follow Rifle Range Road, which will take you through a wooded area. Skull Cave is located on the left side of the road; look for the signage that indicates the entrance.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops on Main Street. Once you have your bike, head toward Fort Mackinac. Ride along Fort Street, and at the fork, take the right path onto Rifle Range Road. Continue riding down Rifle Range Road until you spot Skull Cave on your left. The ride will offer beautiful views of the surroundings and is a pleasant journey to the cave.

Horse-drawn carriage
Find a horse-drawn carriage service on Main Street. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Skull Cave. The carriage will take you through the scenic routes of Mackinac Island. Relax and enjoy the ride as the carriage navigates through the island, eventually leading you to Rifle Range Road. The driver will drop you off at a location near the entrance of Skull Cave.
