Start at the heart of Marquette, specifically from the Marquette Commons located at 112 S Third St, Marquette, MI 49855. Head east on W Washington St toward N Third St. Continue walking straight until you reach N Third St, where you will turn right. Walk straight on N Third St until you reach Lakeshore Blvd. Turn left onto Lakeshore Blvd and continue walking towards the waterfront. You will pass through a lovely park area called Presque Isle Park. Follow the Lakeshore pathway until you reach the harbor. Once you spot the water, keep walking along the shoreline until you see the Marquette Breakwater Light in the distance. The light is located at the end of a long breakwater, which may require you to walk a bit further along the trail to get the best view.
