Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Mount Pleasant downtown area, start by heading south on Main Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Coleman Boulevard. Turn right onto Coleman Boulevard and walk until you reach the bus stop at the corner of Coleman and Shem Creek. From there, take the 'Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA)' bus route that leads to Charleston. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the timing. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop closest to the Charleston City Market. From the City Market, walk east on Meeting Street until you reach Queen Street. Turn left onto Queen Street, and you will find the Queen Street Playhouse at 20 Queen St.

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Mount Pleasant. Start from the rental location and head south on Main Street. Continue on the bike path along Coleman Boulevard towards Shem Creek. Once you arrive at Shem Creek, follow the bike path along the waterfront until you reach the Charleston Bridge. Cross the bridge, and follow the path leading you into downtown Charleston. Upon entering Charleston, navigate to the City Market area. From the market, bike east on Meeting Street and turn left onto Queen Street. The Queen Street Playhouse will be located on your left at 20 Queen St.

• Public Transit

  To use public transportation, locate the nearest CARTA bus stop in Mount Pleasant. Board the bus that travels towards Charleston. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop near the Charleston City Market. Once you are off the bus, walk east along Meeting Street until you hit Queen Street. Turn left on Queen Street, and the Queen Street Playhouse will be on your left at 20 Queen St.
