Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Traverse City downtown area, near the intersection of Front Street and Union Street. Head north on Union Street towards East Grandview Parkway. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the waterfront at East Grand Traverse Bay. Turn left onto the waterfront path and follow it as it curves around the bay. Keep walking for about 1.5 miles. You will pass several parks and scenic views of the bay. Eventually, you will come across the area around VFJV+VX, which is Blue Water Cherry Mill. Look for the signs indicating the mill and follow them to the entrance, where you can enjoy the sights and activities.

  If you have access to a bike, start at the Traverse City downtown area. Head north on Union Street until you reach East Grandview Parkway. Turn right onto East Grandview Parkway and continue biking for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn left onto the waterfront path. Bike along the waterfront path for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the views of East Grand Traverse Bay. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to VFJV+VX, which is where Blue Water Cherry Mill is located. Follow the signs to the entrance.
