Clinch Park: A Scenic Retreat on Grand Traverse Bay

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Traverse City, you can easily walk to Clinch Park. Start at the intersection of Front Street and Park Street. Head east on Front Street for about 0.5 miles. As you walk, you'll pass various shops and cafes. Continue until you reach the intersection with Grandview Parkway. Turn left onto Grandview Parkway and walk north for a few blocks. Clinch Park will be on your right at 111 E Grandview Pkwy. Look for the entrance with a sign.

• Biking

  For a scenic bike ride to Clinch Park, start from downtown Traverse City. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops if you don’t have one. Begin on the Boardman Lake Trail, which is accessible from the downtown area. Follow the trail around Boardman Lake, then head towards Grandview Parkway. When you reach Grandview Parkway, turn left and continue biking north. Clinch Park will be on your right at 111 E Grandview Pkwy. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.

• Public Transit

  To reach Clinch Park via public transit, check the local bus schedule for the Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA). Board a bus heading towards the downtown Traverse City area. Once you arrive at a stop near Front Street, disembark and walk east along Front Street until you reach Grandview Parkway. Turn left on Grandview Parkway, and you will see Clinch Park on your right at 111 E Grandview Pkwy.
