Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, start at the park's Visitor Center located at 33303 Headquarters Rd, Ontonagon, MI 49953. From the Visitor Center, head south on Headquarters Rd for about 5 miles until you reach M-64. Turn left onto M-64 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn right onto Bond Falls Rd and follow the road for approximately 2 miles. You will arrive at Bond Falls State Park, where you can find parking available near the falls.

• Public Transportation + Car

  For those relying on public transportation, you can take a bus to Ontonagon, MI. Once in Ontonagon, you will need to hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach Bond Falls. From the center of Ontonagon, head north on M-64 for about 8 miles, then turn right onto Bond Falls Rd. Follow Bond Falls Rd for approximately 2 miles to reach the falls. Please check local bus schedules for availability and fares.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can bike from the Visitor Center. Start on Headquarters Rd heading south, then turn onto M-64. Keep in mind that the route has some traffic, so be cautious. After about 6 miles, turn right onto Bond Falls Rd and cycle for 2 miles to arrive at Bond Falls State Park. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all cycling regulations.

• Walking/Hiking

  For an adventurous route, you can hike from the nearby Porcupine Mountains trails. Depending on your starting point, it may take several hours, so be prepared with adequate supplies. Follow the marked trails within the park towards M-64, then proceed as you would if you were cycling. This option is recommended only for those familiar with hiking in wilderness areas.
