    From downtown Saint Paul, walk to the nearest bus stop at 5th St & Minnesota St. Board the Metro Transit bus route 21 heading towards the Mall of America. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Nicollet Ave & 24th St stop. From there, walk south along Nicollet Ave for about 5 minutes until you reach 3rd Ave. Turn left on 3rd Ave, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art will be on your right at 2400 3rd Ave S.

  • Light Rail

    From downtown Saint Paul, walk to the Central Station light rail stop located at 5th St & Minnesota St. Take the Blue Line towards Mall of America. Get off at the Franklin Ave station. From there, transfer to the 18 bus (which stops outside the Franklin Ave station) heading towards 3rd Ave S. Get off at the 2400 block stop (in front of the museum). The Minneapolis Institute of Art will be right across the street.
