    The Governor's Mansion is located in downtown Jackson, south of the Mississippi State Capitol and at the south end of Smith Park. From the Capitol, walk south through Smith Park towards E Capitol Street. The mansion will be on your right.

    JTRAN, Jackson's public transit system, has fixed routes throughout the city. From Union Station, the central hub for JTRAN, board a bus heading towards 'Capitol' and disembark at the stop closest to East Capitol Street. Located in downtown Jackson, the Mississippi Governor's Mansion has been the official residence of the state's governor since 1842.
