Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town, such as Sukhbaatar or Erdenet. From Sukhbaatar, take the A-5 road heading northwest. Continue on this road for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to XPH7+M72. Turn left at the intersection and follow the road for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Khan Khentii National Park. There are no tolls on this route, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel as gas stations may be sparse.
Public Transportation
To reach Khan Khentii using public transportation, take a bus or minivan (known as 'furgon') from Ulaanbaatar to Sukhbaatar. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes around 4-5 hours. Upon arrival in Sukhbaatar, you can find local taxis or shared vans heading towards Khan Khentii. Agree on a fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride from Sukhbaatar to Khan Khentii will take about 1.5 hours. The total cost for the bus is approximately 10,000 MNT, and the taxi fare may range from 30,000 to 50,000 MNT depending on the number of passengers.
