Walking
From the Visitor Center at Canyon Village, head south on the South Rim Drive. Follow the signs for the Brink of Lower Falls. The trailhead is located near the parking area for the South Rim Trail. Once you reach the trailhead, follow the clear signs directing you toward the Brink of Lower Falls. The trail is approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) and may include some steep sections. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and stay on designated paths.

Hiking
If you are starting from the North Rim area, take the North Rim Trail toward the South Rim. The hike is about 2 miles (3.2 km) and will take you through beautiful vistas and forested areas. After you reach the junction with the South Rim Trail, follow the signs toward the Brink of Lower Falls. The trail will guide you down to the viewing area, where you can enjoy stunning views of the falls.

Shuttle Bus
If available during your visit, use the park's shuttle bus system. Board the shuttle bus at any designated stop within Yellowstone National Park and head to the Canyon area. Once you arrive at the Canyon Area stop, follow the signs to the Brink of Lower Falls. The trailhead is a short walk from the shuttle stop.
