Getting There

Walking
From the Mammoth Hot Springs area, head south on the main park road. You will walk past the Mammoth Hot Springs terraces. Continue on the road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Norris Geyser Basin junction. Look for the signs pointing to Norris Geyser Basin. Once you arrive at the junction, follow the signs to the parking area. After parking, you will find the entrance to the Norris Geyser Basin trailhead nearby.

Shuttle Bus
If you are near the Mammoth Hot Springs Visitor Center, check the schedule for the shuttle bus that runs through Yellowstone. Take the shuttle heading towards Norris Geyser Basin. The ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Norris Geyser Basin stop. From there, follow the marked trails to explore the geysers and thermal features.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle rental in Mammoth, start from the Mammoth Hot Springs area. Ride south on the main park road for about 1.5 miles. You will see the Norris Geyser Basin sign along the route. Follow the signs to the parking area. Once you park your bike, you can walk along the boardwalks to see the geysers.
