Hiking
To reach the Brink of Lower Falls from the nearest main trail, start at the Uncle Tom's Trailhead, which is located off the South Rim Drive in Yellowstone National Park. From the trailhead, follow the well-marked trail that descends steeply into the canyon. The trail is approximately 0.6 miles long and includes over 300 steps down to the viewing area. Be cautious as the trail can be steep and rocky. Once you reach the bottom, you will arrive at the Brink of Lower Falls where you can enjoy stunning views of the 308-foot waterfall.

Alternatively, if you are starting from the Artist Point viewpoint, which is also on the South Rim Drive, you can take a scenic hike along the rim trail towards the north. The hike is about 1.5 miles round trip and offers various viewpoints along the way. Follow the trail markers and stay on the path. The trail will lead you to a junction where you can divert to the Brink of Lower Falls. After enjoying the views, retrace your steps back to Artist Point.
