Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Mammoth Hot Springs, head south on the main road towards the Gardiner entrance. After about a mile, you will see a sign for Palette Spring on your left. Look for the trail that leads into the area. Follow the path for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Palette Spring. Make sure to stay on the designated paths to protect the delicate geothermal features.

    Begin your hike from the Mammoth Hot Springs area, where you can find trails leading out into the surrounding landscape. Follow the trail signs towards the Gardiner River.
