Car
If you are driving, start on the main road CT-1 in the Piva River Valley. Depending on your starting point, head towards the town of Plužine, which is approximately 20 minutes away. Follow the signs for 'Maglič' as you approach Plužine. After passing Plužine, continue on CT-1 for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Maglič. There is a parking area near the entrance of the hiking trail to the fortress.

To reach Maglič via public transport, take a bus from the nearest major city, such as Nikšić or Podgorica, to Plužine. Bus schedules can vary, so check local listings ahead of time. Once you arrive at Plužine, you can either walk (approximately 5 km) to Maglič or look for local taxi services to take you directly to the site. The taxi ride will typically cost around 10-15 EUR.

If you are already in the Piva River Valley and choose to hike, from the parking area, follow the marked trail leading to Maglič. The hike is around 1.5 kilometers uphill and should take about 30 minutes. Ensure you have suitable hiking shoes and plenty of water, as the trail can be steep in parts.
