Getting There

    If you are staying in New Bagan, walk towards the west along the main road (Bagan-Nyaung U Road). After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Old Bagan, marked by a large sign. Continue walking straight and you will find yourself in the heart of Old Bagan, where many temples and pagodas are located.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from your hotel or a nearby shop. Start by heading west on the main road (Bagan-Nyaung U Road). After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance of Old Bagan. You can park your bicycle at designated areas near the temples and explore the area on foot.

  • Horse Cart

    To experience a traditional mode of transportation, hire a horse cart from your accommodation. Instruct the driver to take you to Old Bagan. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes from New Bagan. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you approach the historical site.
