Walking
If you are in the town center near the Kalaw Market, head south on Kalaw Main Road (also known as Thiri Mingala Road). Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with the road leading to Aung Chan Tha Road. Turn left onto Aung Chan Tha Road, which is marked by a sign for WELCOME TO KALAW. Walk for another 5 minutes, and you will see WELCOME TO KALAW on your right, with a welcoming sign and a small area for photos.

Starting from the Kalaw Railway Station, exit the station and turn left onto the main road. Walk straight for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Kalaw Main Road. Turn right onto Kalaw Main Road and continue for about 5 minutes. You will encounter the sign for WELCOME TO KALAW on your left side.

From the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, head back towards the main road. Turn left onto the main road and walk straight for about 20 minutes. When you reach the junction with Aung Chan Tha Road, turn right. WELCOME TO KALAW will be about a 5-minute walk down this road on your left-hand side.
