Getting There

Walking
Start at Mandalay Palace, which is centrally located in Mandalay. From the main entrance of the palace, head south towards 26th Street. Once you reach 26th Street, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with 81st Street. Turn right onto 81st Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with 29th Street. At this junction, you will see a local market; continue through the market area, and after about 10 minutes, you will see a sign for Inn Wa (Ava). Follow the signs towards Inn Wa, which involves walking on 29th Street for another 15-20 minutes until you reach the ferry pier.

At the ferry pier, purchase a ticket for the ferry that crosses the Irrawaddy River to Inn Wa. The ferry ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Inn Wa side, you will find yourself near a small village area.
