History of Ngapali Beach

A Coast Shaped by the Bay of Bengal

Ngapali’s physical setting is the product of the Bay of Bengal’s coastal processes: waves, tides and sediment have formed sandy beaches, shallow nearshore waters and changing sandbars along the Rakhine coast. The wider region combines low coastal plains with hills and river systems inland.
