Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Downtown Yangon, you can easily walk to the Statues of Yali. Head towards Maha Bandula Street. Look for the prominent Sule Pagoda as your starting point; it's a well-known landmark. From Sule Pagoda, proceed south along Maha Bandula Street for about 10 minutes on foot. The statues will be located on your right. They are situated in a park area near the street, making them quite visible.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more leisurely journey, consider renting a bicycle. You can find bicycle rental shops around Downtown Yangon, especially near major hotels or tourist areas. Rent a bicycle and navigate your way to Maha Bandula Street. Once you reach the street, cycle towards the south for about 10 minutes. The Statues of Yali will be on your right. Be cautious of traffic and pedestrians as you ride.

• Local Bus

  If you prefer using public transportation, you can take a local bus. From any location in Downtown Yangon, find a bus stop and look for buses heading towards Maha Bandula Street. You may need to ask locals or check a bus map, as the routes can be challenging to navigate. Once you're on the bus, pay the fare (usually around 200-500 MMK). Get off at the bus stop closest to Maha Bandula Street. Walk south for a few minutes, and the Statues of Yali will be on your right.

• Trishaw (Cycle Rickshaw)

  For a unique local experience, you can hire a trishaw to take you to the Statues of Yali. Find a trishaw driver in Downtown Yangon. Negotiate the fare, which typically ranges from 1000 to 3000 MMK depending on the distance. Ask the driver to take you to Maha Bandula Street, and they will know the way. The ride will offer you a chance to see the neighborhood from a different perspective. Once you arrive, the statues will be visible nearby.
