If you are starting from the Kearney Public Library located at 2020 1st Ave, head south on 1st Ave towards E 20th St. Turn left onto E 20th St and walk east until you reach Avenue A. Turn right onto Avenue A and walk south until you reach 24th St. Continue straight on Avenue A until you reach the intersection with US-30. Cross the street carefully and you will see the Fort Kearney Historical Marker on your left, near the intersection.

From the Kearney Hub located at 2400 2nd Ave, head west on 2nd Ave towards 24th St. Turn right onto 24th St and continue heading north until you reach the intersection with Avenue A. Turn left onto Avenue A and continue south. You will find the Fort Kearney Historical Marker on your right side near the intersection with US-30.

If you are using public transit, take the bus from the nearest bus stop at the Kearney Intermodal Transportation Center. Board the bus that is headed towards the Kearney area and request a stop near 24th St and Avenue A. From there, walk south on Avenue A until you reach the Fort Kearney Historical Marker, which will be located on your right.
