    From Pine Ridge, head west on NE-27 S. After approximately 22 miles, turn left onto US-20 E. Continue on US-20 E for about 42 miles until you reach Chadron, Nebraska. Once in Chadron, follow the signs to Nebraska National Forest, which is located northeast of Chadron, off of Highway 385. The forest entrance is well-marked.

    To reach Nebraska National Forest from Pine Ridge via public transportation, take the local bus service to Chadron. Once you arrive in Chadron, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber or Lyft) to the Nebraska National Forest, as public transport options directly to the forest are limited.
