Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, exit the square and head east towards the main road (Bhaktapur - Banepa Road). Once you reach the road, turn left and follow it for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at Nuwakot Sadak. Turn right onto Nuwakot Sadak and walk for about 1 kilometer. Nuwakot Durbar Square will be on your left.

From Taumadhi Square, head southwest towards the main road. Turn right onto the main road (Bhaktapur - Banepa Road) and walk straight for about 5 kilometers. After passing through a few local neighborhoods and shops, you will see the sign for Nuwakot Sadak on your left. Turn left onto Nuwakot Sadak and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. Nuwakot Durbar Square will be on your left.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and head towards the main road (Bhaktapur - Banepa Road). Turn left onto the road and cycle straight for about 5 kilometers. You will enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the intersection at Nuwakot Sadak, turn right and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Nuwakot Durbar Square will be on your left.

If you prefer to take a local bus, you can catch a bus from Bhaktapur Durbar Square heading towards Bidur. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Nuwakot Sadak. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters along Nuwakot Sadak and you will see Nuwakot Durbar Square on your left.
