Car
If you're driving from central Kathmandu, head east on Durbar Marg towards Bhaktapur. Follow the road signs toward Pashupatinath Temple. Once you reach the intersection at the Airport, take a left onto Pashupati Nath Road. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, and you will see the temple entrance on your left. Parking is available nearby, but expect to pay a small fee for parking.
Public Bus
From the Ratna Park Bus Station in Kathmandu, take a bus heading towards Boudhanath or Bhaktapur. Ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Pashupatinath Temple. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. The bus fare is around NPR 30-50. After getting off, walk a short distance to the temple entrance.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi from anywhere in Kathmandu. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your ride; the typical cost from Thamel to Pashupatinath is around NPR 700-1000. The journey should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis will drop you off right at the temple entrance.
Rickshaw
If you prefer a more local experience, you can take a rickshaw from various parts of Kathmandu. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should typically be around NPR 300-500 from Thamel or similar tourist areas. The ride will take about 30 minutes, and rickshaws can get you closer to the temple entrance than cars due to narrow roads.
