Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kathmandu. Head south towards the Ring Road. Follow the Ring Road for about 7 km until you reach the junction at the Dakshinkali Temple sign. Turn left onto the road leading to Dakshinkali. Continue straight for approximately 6 km, passing by several small shops and local eateries. Look for signs for Pharping, and follow the road until you reach the entrance to Pharping Vajra Yogini. There is parking available near the site.

• Public Bus

  To reach Pharping Vajra Yogini via public bus, head to the Ratna Park Bus Station in Kathmandu. Look for a bus heading to Dakshinkali or Pharping; the fare is usually around NPR 30-50. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach the Dakshinkali area, disembark at the nearest stop and ask locals for directions to Pharping Vajra Yogini, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop.

• Taxi

  You can also hire a taxi from anywhere in Kathmandu to Pharping Vajra Yogini. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; the cost should be around NPR 1500-2500 depending on your starting location. The taxi will take you directly to Pharping, where you can easily access the site. This option is convenient if you prefer a direct route without transfers.

• Motorbike Rental

  For the adventurous traveler, consider renting a motorbike. Various rental shops are available in Thamel or other tourist areas. Ensure you have a valid license and insurance. The rental cost is around NPR 800-1500 per day. Navigate to the Ring Road, then follow the same route as if driving a car. The journey offers a thrilling experience and flexibility in exploring the area around Pharping.
